A mouse [Jan. 24th, 2008|10:49 pm]
Najwa
I think I may have a mouse.

I've been hearing noises for a few days. It comes from all over the place. Tonight, it's located in the kitchen. I keep hearing bags crinkling, and something fell over, and I've gone in there a few times to investigate, but it gets quiet when I walk in.
I looked inside a baguette bag, and I thought I saw a mouse's bottom, but it was just the end of the baguette broken off and slide down the side. It looked textured and furry, though.

I like mice as pets, but I don't think I want one as a "roommate".

LOL! My (German) mother thought all animals except dachshunds "Vermin! Zey vill get into ze valls und breed!!"

Thankfully, through the miracle of modern science, my cat hasn't multiplied.

Yea! I love the miracle of modern science. My cat thinks she's the queen of the house - if she multiplied I'd probably find myself sleeping on the porch!

Well it could be worse, right. It could be a rabid squirel or somethin'?

But then again the mice in the cities are not as cute as the one we have out here..

The field mice we have usualy have very large heads, small bodies, and very long tells. They look like a realy tiny cross breed of a squirel and a rat.

On the down side they attract diamond-backs so we have to kill them. At first I protested killing the ones close to the house, but as soon as I saw my first rattlesnake up close on the porch I was like, "Kill those bastards"!

Still they are pretty cute.

Just had a couple of those bastards drill through my AC ducts. They can do thousands in damage in a few days. Death to mice!
