So, where exactly are you going?

That is a very good question,
thanks for asking. I am going to the Los Angeles area, Glendale to be exact. I hope to talk to you about this in person soon. I am excited about this and feel really good, but I am nervous. I haven't just picked up and moved in years. But at the same time, I haven't had a stable home life in years either. I have felt like a guest or traveler in the homes of other people. I don't know if this will ever change, but that is what I am really hoping for.
Anyway. I have found myself a nice O.T.O. boy. It's about time. I was beginning to think there wasn't one for me.

Re: That is a very good question,
I will certainly be expecting to see you! Keep me posted.
Good luck on your new adventure. It seems like you'll be in great company.
Yup. I also want to wish you the best of luck on your travels.
stay safe. (Have fun tho!)
I can't believe you're leaving one week before I get back. :( I'm very happy and excited for you, and very selfishly disappointed that I won't get to see you. Good luck, girl, and I hope you find everything you've been looking for.
You are right, and that is one of the things that is making this hard. Good girlfriends are hard to make, it takes a long time. I will be far away my friends. That is hard.
But, you know, I see really cheap round trip tickets from LA to Dallas all the time. My parents live there, so I will definitely come back as often as financially possible. It may be more of an ordeal to get to Austin, but that can happen too, en sh'Allah.
I can obviously understand feeling like you need to get away. You may love it and stay, you may stay for a little while and wander on, and you may get pulled back to TX some day. I'm sure it will be a valuable experience. If you can get to Dallas, that works for me! I'll hold you to it. Love you.
Actually, fares are cheap between Austin and LA - I usually make it out there once or twice a year. You can generally get a ticket for about $200 r/t.
I just got mine for august 21 last nite for 169.00, and it coulda been cheaper if i wanted to fly at different hours.
Heh, Ill remember that...
This is really good news and am very happy for you! Geology studies, eh? Cool!
I know how tough it has been for you at times and you've risen to the challenges remarkably well; each time becoming more the incredible person you are today. I feel very priveleged and proud to have had the opportunity to see this side of your growth.
Cannot wait to see what the future holds for you. Many good things, I suspect. Stay sweet & please keep in touch.
Love ya, sis!
It means so much to me for you to say that. Thank you for noticing my life, being my friend, and giving me feedback. The hardest part about this whole thing has been my approval issues and a fear of my friend's and family's reactions to my decision. Not all of my decisions are met well, that is for sure. But this one really means a lot to me. And I have had a mix of reactions. I was actually surprized how supportive my parents were. I thought they would be the toughest.
One thing is for sure, I have learned a lot about myself since this whole thing began.
I love you, too, Brother.
Hey pretty Lady!
approval issues and a fear of my friend's and family's reactions to my decision
ARE you kidding? I remember clearly walking into your room at your current living space as you were so kind enough to show me your treasure rock! The look in your eyes as you shared that moment with me on that beautiful rock and talking about your school and geology and you love for it. If only I had the camera rolling then to capture that smile on your face and that look in your eyes. Your decision is one that presents to you unlimited opportunities. I almost fell out of my seat when I read your Journal entry this morning in utter excitement. Not because I want you to move far away, but because just THINK about all that you can learn, discover, create, enjoy and experience there just in the name of geology alone!!! You deserve this Amanda and you know it!! We'll come visit you, I promise!!! (note, im not promising an absolute date yet ;) Buddy and I both are very happy for you. When we come up, I hope to have a chance to see the new rocks you've found and your secret "hiking" spots and listen to all the new beautiful things you've discovered.
You were my first introduction to Thelema Amanda, and a true inspiration at that and will NEVER forget the beautiful woman you've always been. Now go take that opportunity you have, run with it, and Ill back you up the whole way. If you need ANYTHING, a place to stay if you need to come back, food, a friend to chat with, an ear (you cant cut mine off, but you can borrow it) or a glass of wine, you got my number, just pick up the phone.
Take care, and Fly butterfly!
Buddy and I both Love you!
if you can fit in a suitcase, we'll bring you with us *wink*
oh we're waiting for you, Dave. No worries ;-)
I know it's hard to leave such wonderful people (and I know they'll miss you terribly), but know that you'll be welcomed warmly here in Southern Cal, sis! Those of us who've met you already love ya to pieces, and we'll do all we can for ya.
Smooches and 93's,
Yes, one good selfish thing for those of us in Austin missing you is that we will now have an excuse to go to California. I would really, really, truely love to see you and lapig93
do mass. I can just imagine how beautiful it will be, it almost makes me cry. (for beauties sake)
I will miss you and if I forget to say it, thank you for being there for me.
i love you, jess

Congrats and we'll miss you.
I just noticed today that you had friended me and I in turn have friended you back. Didn't even know you had an LJ... had to read a few entries before I went OH, it's Amanda ;) This will be a great way to keep in touch when you are far away, I hope you keep this up and post about your wonderful adventures way out west to keep your Texan admirers up to date :)
I'm thrilled to have had the chance to get to know you through Keith & Shae and was so honored to share your presence in Shae's Reiki weekend last year. You have a truly beautiful soul that I am awestruck by each time I'm around you.
I'm so glad I got to see you fairly recently (for the Peter Sellers shows) and understand through K&S that the guy I met that night is the lover of whom you speak. I'm so happy for you. I thought his energy was just delish and hopefully he will be the kind of guy who knows just how lucky he is to have someone like you.
Best of luck in following all your passions. That is always a good idea, the spirit will die if you don't follow your bliss. I grew up in Santa Barbara, about 90 miles north of where you'll be and I so know what you mean about the sea. It calls to me even still. And I'm getting some wanderlust, change my life vibe pretty strong myself so I know you just have to run with it when it comes.
I know this will be an amazing change for you and hopefully very fulfilling as well. I truly wish you all the best.
i'm about to head out on my adventure and won't get to see you again before you head west. just wanted to let you know that although i was just starting to get to know you, i really think you are an incredible lady. i look forward to visiting with you when i'm in california (which tends to be at least a few times a year).
