Would he seeing himself cause future problems?

Right now he thinks he is human. Correct? And he thinks that you guys are human. Correct? If both of those are true, then he will equate what you look like as being human since he sees you guys all the time. He will see facial expressions, movement of jaws, skin perspiring, etc.

But once he looks into the mirror he will not see these things that makes one human. He may have some sort of identity breakdown.

(BTW: The geek in me finds this android/robot thing trés cool.)

That is a good question (I asked David the same thing the other day).
When I was a little girl, I was playing with my dog "Lizzy", and it occured to me to put up a mirror so she could see us together and recognize me and thereby know that she wasn't like the rest of the family. I instantly regretted it. She had this sad look on her face, and it looked like I really hurt her feelings. I cried.
David said that the robot would not get his feelings hurt by that but would be a little nervous because sometimes he suspects that he is an android, but believes he is paranoid. He acts nervous a little, but tries to keep his cool.
I'm glad you enjoy the bot. He is cool. I will try to livejournal my trip as thoroughly as I can find time.
