Anyone have a recipe for cookies that's just real easy? I mean one that calls for stuff I probably have in my kitchen already?

I have:
all purpose flower
scharfenberger cocoa powder
gold raisins
vanilla extract
baking soda/ and powder

I don't know how to invent cookie recipes, so I was hoping someone could give me some ideas. I have all kinds of stuff in my kitchen.

Thanks in advance.

Your friendly sweet-toothed friend,

Do you have any fat, such as butter, margarine, crisco or oil?

A standard cookie recipe I use has approximately 1 1/4 cups flour, 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, 3/4 cups sugar, 1 egg, a dash of vanilla extract, a teaspoon of baking powder and something like chocolate chips or peanuts or raisins.

You can swap in more oatmeal for flour at about a 3 parts oatmeal to 2 parts flour ratio (though you need at least 3/4 cups flour to have it hold together), and you can mix sugar and brown sugar. (The more brown sugar, the 'darker'; white sugar makes a lighter cookie.)

From your list, with butter or margarine, I see oatmeal raisin cookies and really heavy brownies (if you have enough cocoa powder): it's just a matter of having an oil.

Hey, thank you! You are a great cook! I appreciate your response.
I will try this in the morning when I can bang around pots and pans. :)

So, is this like a 15 minutes at 350˚ thing?
