Day one: Travel to Hanover, Germany|
We took Zeno to my parent house, and I quickly taught my mother how to make "Mexican Flag Beans and Rice" and a side of fried Plantains.
The flight to Frankfort was fine, I watched Juno like 3 times. I can't sleep on the plane. It's weird going East, 'cause it's like going into the future. It was morning there, and I never even had a night.
The airport at Frankfort seems like a disorganized nightmare, but what do I know. We had to wait in something like 3 or 4 lines, for what amounted to nothing: just to find what line we had to be in, or other nonsense. Eventually, we found out that we had a hour to kill, so we had a snack.
There was this black and white striped dough-nut that I couldn't refuse, but it was prettier than it was tasty.
Incidentally, I dropped the ball on my "diet", and my pear shape is coming back. I'm sure it will only get worse here, with all the amazing bread and pastries, etc.
Massive Software of New Zealand has put us up in this nice flat that they are renting from a fantastic German couple that we met when we got here. This place is cool, lots of art, and very comfortable. I admire the architectural use of space here. And they have a cute-faced Jack Russell Terrier.
We called my mom to check on Zeno, and she had a story about how he crawled under the bed and got lost and cried. It was almost an emergency to get him back out.
We took a nice long 5-6 hour nap, then wandered down the street to a random Italian food joint. The man came by to ask our drink orders, and on my way in, I spied a nice bottle of Yeni Raki, so I tried to order it, but he got all confused, and I did too. So, I took him back to the bar, and showed him the bottle, and using a cross between French, English, German, Italian, and Turkish, I taught him how to serve it. Then we ordered like 3 glasses of red wine.
They had these beautiful glass bottles of Grappa, and I hadn't had that before, so David and the man explained it to me. For dessert, I tried a nice grappa, and we had a coffee ice cream. We loved the restaurant, and they were very fun.

I ate green beans, which I usually HATE, but these were soooo good.
We gots lots to do tomorrow. Go around town and pick up provisions for our stay, and meet with the Massive folks and get ready for the CeBit show.
I understand that CeBit is the worlds largest technology festival. It take like 8-9 days to see the whole thing. You might not even see the whole thing. We are showing the Zeno Robot with Massive.
