Arrival in Osaka. [Nov. 29th, 2006|01:56 pm]
Najwa
Our plane finally left the airport around 9 PM, Anchorage time. Our new flight path did not take us over the Bering Straight, but no matter, it was dark anyway, and I've seen endless stretches of ocean before.
I alternated between sleep and watching movies.
When we arrived in Japan, we went through customs faster than I ever have in my life. No shakedown, no questions.
Before we left for the hotel, Loni and I found a ladies room and went inside. We were kinda confused for a second, because it was...different. Then we heard a man's voice coming from one of the stalls. We ran back to David and asked if this was normal. LOL. He asked if it was really the woman's room! He went to check it out, and sure enough, it was a completely pissed drunk Russian guy, who then asked David if he would go out with him for "a smoke and a drink".
After we checked in to the hotel, Mr. Tsusaki took us to the Circle K (yes you heard me right) for our 2:30 AM dinner. But they have no nachos or dogs. They had bright flashy packages, with all kinds of strange tastes, smell, and textures. I settled on some cheese and crackers, green tea pudding, and mochi.
Loni is ironing David's suit for his interview with Mr. Ishiguro tomorrow morning. We are trying to put Zeno down.
Tomorrow, Loni, Zeno and I will either go to Kyoto, or just fooling around in a popular district in Osaka.
