Euro travel questions [Feb. 25th, 2008|12:41 pm]

Anyone here ever taken a train from Hanover to Amsterdam? How long does it take? Is the train cheaper than a flight? What can you tell me?

What can you tell me about Hanover in general? What do I gotta see and do? Any other advice?

Thanks!

We are leaving this weekend, and coming home on the 10th. I guess we will miss each other. :/

From my friend in Germany:

"It's about 4-5 hours by train from Hanover to A'dam. Price varies widely depending on how advanced the ticket purchase is. Worst case, 85 Euroes one way."

Thanks for digging up this info! Does your friend live in Hanover?

No, he lives in Leipzig. He said that there's no major airport in Hanover, so finding direct flights might be expensive if you're able to find them at all. He said check bahn.de if you can filter through the German.
